대전창조미술협회는 2018년 창립 이래 지역 기반의 미술 전업작가들이 모여 다양한 창작 활동과 함께 정기전, 이웃돕기 행사 등 지역 예술 문화 발전에 이바지해왔다. 2024년, 협회는 ‘창조·융합’이라는 키워드 아래, 전국 단위로 확장된 특별전을 기획하여, 대전이 예술 활동의 중심지이자 문화도시로 발돋움하는 계기를 마련하고자 한다.

이번 <2024 창조·융합-전국작가특별전>은 대전예술가의 집 전관에서 개최되며, 대전창조미술협회 소속 100여 명의 작가들과 전국에서 초청된 300여 명의 작가들이 참여해, 총 400여 점의 다양한 현대미술 작품을 선보인다.

이 전시는 미술인 간의 교류의 장이자, 시민들과 호흡하며 현대미술의 융합적 흐름과 단면을 조망하는 기회가 될 것이다. 또한, 대전창조미술협회는 매년 일본, 프랑스, LA 등과의 해외 교류전을 통해 국제적인 예술 소통의 지평을 넓히고 있다.

Since its foundation in 2018, the Daejeon Creative Art Association has played a vital role in cultivating the regional art scene through exhibitions and community-centered events. This year, under the theme “Creation and Convergence,” the association expands its reach to a national scale, positioning Daejeon as a vibrant center for contemporary art and cultural activity.

The 2024 Creation & Convergence: National Special Exhibition of Artists will take place across the entire venue of the Daejeon Artists House. The exhibition features more than 100 member artists of the association and over 300 invited artists from across the country, presenting approximately 400 works of contemporary art.

This large-scale exhibition fosters artistic exchange between creators nationwide and offers the public a unique opportunity to encounter the dynamic and multifaceted nature of contemporary art in Korea. Furthermore, the Daejeon Creative Art Association actively pursues international exchange, holding overseas exhibitions annually in Japan, France, Los Angeles, and more.
