옷가게는 작가가 바람에 대한 연구를 처음으로 시도한 작품이다. 바람은 형체 없이 지나가지만, 옷의 움직임을 통해 그 존재를 느낄 수 있다. 이 작품은 옷의 흔들림을 통해 바람을 표현하고자 했다.

형상들을 하나하나 만들어 모니터 위에 올려놓는 작업을 하다 보니, 자연스럽게 바람에 대한 상상과 실험이 이어졌고, 결국 '옷가게'라는 장소가 형성되었다.

이 작품은 작가의 시간-회화 연구에서 초기 실험의 성격을 띠고 있으며, 지금도 애정하는 작업 중 하나다. 1/10 에디션은 '공주미술은행'에 소장되어 있다.

The Clothing Store

The Clothing Shop is the artist’s first attempt to study the movement of wind. Though wind has no form of its own, its presence can be sensed through the motion of clothing. This work seeks to express wind through the subtle sway and flutter of garments.

By creating and placing one figure at a time onto the monitor, the artist began to imagine and explore the essence of wind. Through that process, the setting of a “clothing shop” naturally emerged.

This piece stands as an early experiment within the artist’s time-painting series and remains one of their most cherished works. Edition 1 of 10 is currently part of the 'Gongju Art Bank' collection.
