맛있는 식탁 시리즈

책상 위의 배치는 시간이 지나면서 의도하지 않은 방식으로 그 사람만의 색을 드러낸다. 마찬가지로, 나는 모니터라는 가상의 책상 위에 형상들을 올려놓으며 하나의 장소를 만든다. 이 장소는 사전에 구상된 것이 아니라, 형상들이 쌓이면서 자연스럽게 부피를 형성한 표면이라 할 수 있다.

맛있는 식탁 시리즈는 서로 관계없는 형상들이 무작위로 배치되었을 때 어떤 감각을 형성하는지를 탐구한 작품이다. 나는 의도적으로 낯선 느낌을 만들고자 했다. 왜냐하면 낯섦이 곧 새로움이기 때문이다. 시각 예술은 눈으로 맛보는 것이며, 나는 그러한 시각적 ‘식탁’을 디지털 평면에서 구현하고자 했다.

이 시리즈는 두 개의 작품으로 구성되어 있다. 맛있는 식탁 1에서는 생선과 나무가 주요 요소로 등장하며, 맛있는 식탁 2에서는 여기에 인물 형상이 추가되었다. 처음부터 특정한 배치를 구상한 것은 아니지만, 완성된 결과물을 통해 각각의 요소들이 어떤 방식으로 조화를 이루었는지를 발견하는 과정이었다.

The Delicious Dining Table Series

The arrangement of objects on a desk gradually reveals a person's unique character in an unintended way. Similarly, I place forms onto the virtual desk of a monitor, creating a space. This space is not premeditated; rather, it emerges naturally as the forms accumulate and take shape.

The Delicious Dining Table series explores the sensations evoked when unrelated forms are randomly arranged. I intentionally sought to create a sense of unfamiliarity—because unfamiliarity is, in essence, a form of novelty. Just as visual art is something to be "tasted" with the eyes, I wanted to construct a visual "dining table" on a digital plane.

This series consists of two works. The Delicious Dining Table 1 features fish and trees as the primary elements, while The Delicious Dining Table 2 introduces human figures alongside them. Although I did not initially plan specific arrangements, the completed works became a process of discovering how these elements could harmonize in unexpected ways.
