강강술래는 춤을 추는 인물, 서 있는 인물, 아무것도 하지 않는 인물들이 서로 얽혀 운동의 증인으로서 존재하는 모습을 그린다. 이들은 각기 다른 역할을 유지하거나 점차 하나로 녹아드는 듯한 복잡한 관계를 형성한다. 각 형상은 하나의 화폭 안에 결합되어 있지만, 특정한 이야기나 스토리에 얽매이지 않는다. 그럼에도 불구하고 하나의 평면 속에서 미묘한 관계를 이루는 형상들을 통해 하나의 장소이자 결정체로서 회화라는 평면을 만들고 있다.

The Ganggangsullae

The Kanggangsullae depicts figures dancing, standing still, and doing nothing, entangled with one another as witnesses to movement. These figures form a complex relationship—each maintaining their distinct role or gradually dissolving into one another. While all the figures are composed within a single surface of painting, they are not bound to any particular narrative or story. Nonetheless, through these figures that establish subtle relationships within a single plane, the work constructs the surface of painting as both a place and a crystal.
